Hallicrafters S-120 Shortwave Radio.
This is an all-original and unmolested Hallicrafters S-120 that appears in excellent condition.
I powered it up using my dim-bulb tester and variac. At approximately 90vAC, the radio came to life and began to receive some local stations… but there was also a very loud hum/buzz coming from the built-in speaker. Obviously, the power caps will need to be replaced. Honestly, the radio should receive a full recap and replacement of out-of-tolerance resistors prior to going into service.
Sold as-is with no warranty offered or applied. Hopefully this little gem can go to a good home.
