MADE AND SOLD BY A HAM RADIO OPERATOR WITH OVER 50 YEARS OF ANTENNA BUILDING EXPERIENCE!
Up for sale is a brand new antenna from the well known antenna builder & designer, Lowbander.
SDR Super Antenna is a 33’ long wire antenna(
color of insulation on wire and coax may vary
) that is fed thru a 9:1 ferrite balun. This balun is an impedance transformer that converts the typically high Z(impedance) of a long wire directly to match the 50 ohm impedance of the coax cable. This
reduces signal loss and noise
. SWLers and hams have used this design for many years,
because it works!!
More signal will get to your SDR/Receiver! This antenna receives signals on all bands UHF-VHF, SW, HF, BC/MW.
All you have to do is attach it to the side of your house or a mast, and stretch out the wire. Many users attach it to a nail or screw driven into the window sill next to their computer and SDR.
Check out the pictures to see typical installations.
The antenna wire can even be sloped downward or hung down vertically, if you have limited space or live in an apartment. Some buyers have installed the antenna in their attic and have had great results! It can even be stretched on the wall inside your computer room. Inside or out the antenna wire can be bent or turned to make it fit into your space.
Like any radio antenna the higher you install it, the better it works and draws in signals!
The coax has a standard SMA plug on it that fits all SDR units. Check the pics if you aren’t sure what a SMA plug is. SWLers with radios that have different antenna sockets can easily buy cheap adapters plugs to make the antenna fit with their radio. DX Engineering and Universal Radio company have these adapters for about . Most of these adapter plugs are sold here on Ebay for even less.
The antenna wire(
color of insulation on wire may vary
) on the SDR Super Antenna is stranded copper wire, which is strong and durable! The end of the antenna has a plastic insulator that has holes drilled for connection to any supporting structure with nylon string, rope or hook up wire.
All you do is stretch it out and play!
