    StartTech 4 bay eSATA USB Hard Drive Enclosure SAT3540U2E, retail package includes eSATA cable, USB2.0 cable, power adapter + U.S. power cable, + screws and mounts
    I only started to use this unit as a spare backup recently.  I had 4x 2TB hard drives through the USB2.0 connection.  4 drives are recognized individually and I used software raid / JBOD method to combine into one 8TB volume.  Works well with USB connection. I did try the eSATA connection by connecting it to my motherboard. It did recognize the first hard drive, but not all 4 drives.  That's expected because my mainboard's SATA does not support port multiplier function.  Even 16TB hard drive is recognized with the eSATA connection.
