Technics SA-GX790 Dolby Surround A/V receiver, released 1996-97
I bought this receiver from a record store nearby in 2017, originally to be used for my turntable setup, but then figuring out later would be great for my vintage VHS setup. Unfortunately due to no where to put the system at the time, everything has been sitting in the closet since. Because of needing some extra money, space and no longer interested in playing/collecting VHS tapes (sorry VHS fans, I still respect you), I'm handing down the vintage AVR equipment down. This is a FANCY receiver for its time, made for those serious for VHS and LaserDisc watchers. DVDs would be fine as well, though the receiver can only do Dolby Surround 4.1 analog audio, NOT Dolby Digital 5.1 discrete audio. Still this unit had all the bells and whistles for the perfect [vintage] movie experience!
Conditions
There seems to be some minor nicks on the top, but nothing severe. The unit does look clean throughout, may have some light dust from sitting in storage.
Technical-wise, the unit does power on without issues, though I have not tested every function / connection.
Unit comes with the original remote (had to buy the remote separately back then) and power cable, no documentation included.
I also have the subwoofer, normal and surround speakers on my eBay as well if you're interested.
This receiver is VERY HEAVY and will require some extra postage.
